i’m not the overly motivated crafty kind of mother, but simple easy things might get my attention.and so i saw that super cute idea on pinterest and knew that could be something for our autumn days. and so off we went to collect some leaves on one of our walks outside.in north sweden i got those really handy leatherbags. the saami people in sweden and norway (the natives) make them out of reindeer leather and put in their reindeer snacks(dried and smoked reindeer meat). i always have one leatherbag/purse with me and usually put in trail mix(nuts and raisins).but this time we used it to collect leaves.
on another rainy day we used the afternoon to glew some leaves on some leftover paper(that was in a parcel i got) and tried to create some little creatures. well, honest honestly the girls were more busy by discovering the glue and pencils and drew some grass, where i took over the part of trying to create some animals.hihi.
it was a fun thing to do. and for me the important lesson of it is, that the girls can be part of it (no matter how) and see and experience, how we can use and play with nature treasures outside and inside.
