apple cinnamon cake / apfel zimt kuchen (alnatura rezept)

ingredients for 12 pieces: 5 apples (e.x. elstar), 200g soft butter, 120g raw cane sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 3 eggs, 150g wheat flour(i use wholemeal spelt flour), 70 g ground almonds, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon raw cane sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon to besprinkle

  • preheat oven 175 °C
  • peel the apples, cut them in half and core the apples, also slightly score the apples on the topside
  • butter, sugar, cinnamon and eggs stir foamy then add flour, almonds and baking powder
  • place the batter in a rectangular form (20-30cm) or a round form (21cm diameter) and then place the apples on it
  • mix 1 tablespoon of raw cane sugar(i use way more, upps) with 1 tablespoon cinnamon and sprinkle all over the cake
  • bake it for about 35 to 40 minutes
  • serve warm with fresh whipping cream
