rhubarb almond tarte {puff pastry}

there’s this wonderful old lady in our village who lives in a tiny little old wooden house with the most impressive garden.i’ve never seen so many herbs, vegetables and fruits. its a little foraging heaven. every time i walk to the little woods with my girls, i pass her little wooden cottage and that colourful blooming garden.often she’s outside gardening and then we have little chats.right now her garden is a little rhubarb forest and she has so much that she offered me to come and get as much as i desire.what a dream.so right now my house is filled with rhubarb smell in form of rhubarb compote, rhubarb strawberry jam, rhubarb juice or another rhubarb tarte.

it was another day where i quickly wanted to use that rhubarb ’cause we had made plans for the weekend and i didn’t want to stand in the kitchen for too long. so i made another rhubarb almond tarte.one with puff pastry i rolled out on a backingsheet and filled with cynthia barcomi’s frangipane almondcreme filling: 65g soft butter, 65g sugar, 1 large egg, 100g grounded almonds, 3 spoons milk or whippingcreme and 1 tablespoon flour.then i put on the rhubarb after peeling it and topped it with some sugar.i baked the tarte for about 20minutes or so on medium temperature (180°C)
